Duluth Mayor Ness to Launch New Impact Volunteering Initiative to Tackle Food Security Issues with Grant from Cities of Service

Last month, Duluth Mayor Don Ness received a $25,000 grant from the Cities of Service Impact Volunteering Fund to support his city’s “Let’s Grow Lincoln Park” community gardening initiative. The gardens, run by volunteers, will yield over 1,700 pounds of fresh produce a year and will be located in the most densely populated sections of the city to improve access to fresh fruits and vegetables among low-income residents.
